What Does Baking Really Mean
We all love the delicious cupcakes, the sumptuous pizza, the amazing doughnuts and the good old bread...don't we?..But how many of us actually dig deeper to find out what goes into making all these stuff we really love?
I however have dared to do so and came up with really interesting facts.
You really need to be persistent when it comes to baking so that you don't end up loosing your skills. This also enables you to grow and become better.
There will always be the cakes that come out burnt, sunk or over risen but this should not put you down, you need to soldier on because it's not always going to be like that.
When your output does not come out as they were supposed to, you need to find out exactly where you went wrong so as to avoid repeating the same mistakes in future.
Baking comes with some sort of satisfaction. There's just this sense of pride you feel when your product comes out as it was supposed to. And also when you serve it to your relatives or friends and they are like 'this is great' you feel like 'wow! i nailed it!'
You just have to be determined in baking. Focus on the end product instead of how to achieve it because I must admit that there are some processes that are quite challenging and might make one loose hope. The trick is to ' keep your eyes on the price'
There are always new recipes and baking styles that keep coming up. So as a baker, you should always keep your eyes open and also be experimental.
When you have the passion to do anything, you will always do well at it. You will also be able to grow at it much faster than when you did not have passion.
This is very important if you really want to bake. All that is required should be assembled before starting the process. Every ingredient is important and cannot be left out just because you had not prepared yourself adequately.
There is need to psychologically prepare oneself to bake in order to do well at it. This will make the process more enjoyable and simple rather than frustrating and difficult as it could be when there is no zeal to do it.
Distraction is just unacceptable during baking. The results will be wrong measurements, leaving out important ingredients, adding wrong ingredients..there will be so many mistakes that will make the output something that I do not know what to call..let's say disgusting, for lack of a less intense word.
